Dr. Ashraf Azmy is an academic researcher and a professor of the Old Testament and biblical studies. He is the producer and host of the television programs, Hayat Biblical School and Through the Bible.
Dr. Ashraf was born in Egypt, the land of Exodus, in a Christian family. The true challenge in his faith came when he was a high school student and attended a youth camp in Alexandria, Egypt. It was there that he gave his life to the Lord Jesus. In 1988, after graduating from Evangelical Theological Seminary in Cairo, he was ordained and served the Lord as an assistant pastor in El Minya, Egypt.
A few years later he and his wife left Egypt for Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), to become the first Arabic pastor of the Church of Dubai. For more than five years the Lord used them to serve him among many nationalities in Dubai.
In 2000, he moved with his family to the United States and in 2003 he received two graduate degrees (M.Div and Th.M) from Northwest Baptist Seminary in Tacoma, Washington (now Corban University, in Salem, Oregon). From 2007 to 2012, Dr. Ashraf worked as an assistant professor of Bible and theology at Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania. Dr. Azmy completed his doctorate (Ph.D.) there in 2008 in the Old Testament.
